Le Bajo
Labuan Bajo, 2024
Le Bajo stands as a high-performance testament to timber’s resilience. This tropical silhouette combines precise prefabrication with an engineered louvre system.

Suspended between the horizon and the sea, Le Bajo stands as a high-performance testament to timber’s resilience. Challenging, efficient, and alluring. Here, the tropical silhouette is elevated by an intentional rustic treatment, a textural response to the harsh realities of salt-laden coastal winds. This architectural backbone relies on adaptive engineering, where a precise prefabrication system overcomes the surgical complexity of over-water installation.

The soul of the structure lies in its operable louvre system. As the blades transition from a 45-degree tilt to a seamless close, they do more than modulate light, it transforms the entire atmospheric narrative. It affirms that technical adaptation provides the framework for Le Bajo to breathe and live.
